The Media Arts Network of Ontario (MANO) is calling for proposals from Ontario artists for a commission of short video works for online dissemination. These short videos will look at the impacts of provincial government cuts to various sectors in Ontario such as arts and culture, legal aid, or education. These artist generated advertisements may take documentary, experimental, or humorous approaches to foster greater understanding of the value of the non-profit and public sectors.
Commissioned works will be no more than 2 minutes in length. Accepted projects will be provided with $1,500 towards artist-fees and cash expenses and up to $2,000 in equipment and post-production support. Selected proposals will go into production in August 2019 for delivery in September 2019.
Proposals should include:
-Short outline of proposed video (1 page maximum)
‑Bio and CV (maximum 150 words for bio, maximum 3 pages for CV)
