SAW Video is an artist-run cen­tre com­mit­ted to sup­port­ing the ground-break­ing artis­tic pro­duc­tion, pre­sen­ta­tion and pro­gram­ming of inde­pen­dent video and media art. SAW Video pro­vides many ser­vices to its mem­bers includ­ing afford­able tech­ni­cal facil­i­ties and a wide range of pro­grams. Its ser­vices and pro­grams are designed to cre­ate an atmos­phere that inspires pro­duc­tion through the exchange of ideas around form, con­tent and style. In con­crete terms, SAW Video sup­ports inde­pen­dent media artists with afford­able access to video pro­duc­tion and post-pro­duc­tion facil­i­ties, grants and men­tor­ship pro­grams, a com­pre­hen­sive range of intro­duc­tory, inter­me­di­ate and advanced work­shops, as well as screen­ings and exhi­bi­tions.

SAW Video val­ues diver­sity and active­ly pro­motes access and equi­ty for all artists regard­less of age, class, gen­der, sex­ual ori­en­ta­tion, lan­guage, race or abil­ity. The cen­tre is com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing afford­able access to all pro­grams and activ­i­ties, to increas­ing fran­coph­one ser­vices and pro­gram­ming, and to pay­ing artist fees for all pro­grammed events and exhibits.
