MANO/RAMO is the voice of the Ontario media arts sector! It is our role to advocate for improved working conditions, funding equity, and opportunities for media artists across the province and to raise awareness and understanding of the media arts.

We are just beginning our work in shaping the future of Ontario’s media arts sector. Make sure your voice is heard and that the issues you are concerned about are on the agenda. Please contact us with any advocacy issues you would like to bring to our attention or campaigns that we can promote to our membership.

One of MANO/RAMO’s key roles is to undertake advocacy initiatives on behalf of our member organizations and the media arts community at large. MANO/RAMO is committed to working with members, funders, and communities to create appreciation, understanding, and artistic and professional opportunities for media arts administrators and independent artists. We also play a key role in supporting the current and ongoing advocacy initiatives of our peers at the local, provincial and national level.

MANO/RAMO is committed to creating understanding of and appreciation for the important role of the media arts on the artistic landscape in Ontario. As a young and growing discipline, the media arts is historically under-funded in comparison to traditional disciplines and we will continue to strive for equity at all levels for the sector.

Successful advocacy requires an entire community and we welcome the feedback and participation of members and non-members on matters relating to the media arts sector in Ontario. If you have an advocacy matter you would like to discuss with MANO/RAMO we look forward to hearing from you here.
