In this work­shop par­tic­i­pants will explore the do’s and don’ts of Per­for­mance Reviews and their impor­tance in build­ing and sus­tain­ing a pos­i­tive work envi­ron­ment for all.

The work­shop will clar­ify the process and expec­ta­tions of Per­for­mance Reviews while pro­vid­ing strate­gies that will enable you to deal with dif­fer­ent sit­u­a­tions and team mem­bers. Mike Rudolph will share valu­able tips on best prac­tices that will help you ensure the appraisal process is pos­i­tive, pro­duc­tive and supportive.

About the Instructor

Mike Rudolph is the Man­ager of Human Resources for the Toron­to Inter­na­tional Film Fes­ti­val. He over­sees the recruit­ment process for the orga­ni­za­tion, which includes the hir­ing of more than 600 staff mem­bers each year for the fes­ti­val in Sep­tem­ber. He is also respon­si­ble for the HR360 pro­fes­sional devel­op­ment pro­gramme, which includes devel­op­ing and deliv­er­ing in-house train­ing ses­sions and a suc­cess­ful men­tor­ship pro­gramme. Before begin­ning his career in HR, he was pre­vi­ously in the Tick­et­ing Ser­vices depart­ment of TIFF and man­aged the organization’s call cen­tre for more than 3 years.

Mike has a degree in Eng­lish Lit­er­a­ture from Con­cor­dia Uni­ver­sity. He com­pleted a cer­tifi­cate pro­gramme in Human Resources through Ryer­son Uni­ver­sity and holds the Cer­ti­fied Human Resources Pro­fes­sional (CHRP) des­ig­na­tion. An avid run­ner, Mike has com­pleted 4 marathons and is plan­ning on run­ning the Twin Cities Marathon this October.
